This marsupial mammal has three species; The red kangaroo, the oriental gray and the western

gray. Their differences lie basically in geographical origin and size. The first is the largest of all and
occupies the arid zones of Oceania, can weigh up to 85 kg.

The second is in the eastern zone

And, finally, western gray, is the smallest of all species and is located in the coastal areas of
southern Australia.

Kangaroos spend 7 to 10 hours feeding regardless of the season. It is estimated that if

temperatures rise by two degrees Celsius, a species will inevitably die out, and the kangaroo
population in general will suffer a noticeable decline.

As for the effects of global warming that continues to increase, a new study published in the
December issue of zoology physiologists and biochemists finds that an average temperature rise of
only two degrees Celsius could cause a devastating effect On kangaroo populations in Australia.
