TRAGEDY

Tragedy is the imitation of an action that is serious also,


having magnitude, complete in itself in appropriate and pleasurable
language, In a dramatic rather than narrative form with incidents
arousing pity and fear, with where the accomplish of a catharsis of
these emotions

UNITY OF ACTION

A play should have one main action that it follow, with mineral and
subplots

UNITY OF TIME

An action in a play should occur over a period of no more than 24


hours

UNITY OF PLACE (SPACE)

A play should cover single physical place and should not attempt to
compress geography, nor should represent stage more than one place.

There are six elements of Tragedy

1. Plot
2. Character
3. Diction
4. Thought
5. Song
6. Spectacle

PLOT
Arrangement of incidents or events. It must contain proper
beginning, middle and end.
