1. Introduction
The Current Baseline Document is used to describe the characteristics of the sites O.A. in
order to provide a base from which to carry out an Oracle Application migration scoping
study.
The document consists of the following sections:
Hardware Baseline
Database/Application Specific
Volumes and Sizing
Network
Application/Implementation Specific
Customizations
2. Hardware Baseline
The following questions establish the current application environment in terms of machine
type, operating system, etc. If the test environment resides on a separate machine then it will
also be necessary to obtain details of this machine too.
This information is required to determine exactly which Release of the application(s) is
certified on the given hardware platform, and whether the operating system will require
upgrading.
