The best video of the day selected within the Nature Video Festival Green movie at Niville - 495

The first Nature Video Festival Green movie organized by the Institute for Nature Conservation of
Serbia opened at the Niville Jazz Festival on August 10, 2017, starting at 22:00 at the Movie (Street)
Stage at the Ni Fortress, with the screening of the first seven videos about nature.

On the same day at 14:00, the aim, program and content of the first Nature Video Festival and activities of
the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia within the events Green Zone and Info Desk for
Nature were presented at the press conference held at the Niville Jazz Festival Media Center. Aleksandar
Dragii, the Head of the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia, spoke on this occasion on the
significance of presenting the natural heritage of our country and the nature protection within the events of
the Festival. Milivoje Krvavac, the coordinator of the Festival, presented the concept, program and
organization of the first Nature Video Festival Green movie, while Danko Jovi, the Head of the
Institutes Unit in Ni, talked about the Institutes nature protection activities within the Nivilles Green
zone and Info Desk for Nature. Dalibor Popovi-Pop, the representative of the Niville Jazz Festival,
emphasized the significance and further possibilities of cooperation and presentation of the nature of our
country within the Niville Jazz Festival.

During the first day of the Nature Video Festival Green movie, seven videos were screened:
Biodiversity (Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia), Reptiles and Amphibians of erdap (Public
Enterprise National Park erdap), Natural Monument Park Bukovike banje (Public Utility
Enterprise Zelenilo, Aranelovac), Tara (Public Enterprise National Park Tara), Obedska bara
(Public Enterprise Vojvodinaume) and Go (Srboljub Jovanovi).

Based on public voting, Tara and Park Bukovike banje were selected as the best videos of the
first day of the Green movie Festival.

All members of the audience who voted for the best video of the day received appropriate awards within
the Green movie festival zone, where they had a chance to visit the exhibition of the photographs of
protected areas.

During the second day of the Nature Video Festival, starting at 21:15 on August 11, at the Movie (Street)
Stage, the visitors of the Niville Jazz Festival will have a chance to choose the best video of the day from
seven new videos: Uvac (Rezervat Uvac LLC), Biosphere Reserve Bako Podunavlje (MAB
National Committee of Serbia), Experience Sjenica (Tourist organization of Sjenica), Tara (Nikola
Lukii), National Park Fruka Gora (Institute for Nature Conservation of Vojvodina Province),
erdap -bats (Public Enterprise National Park erdap) and Millenniums (National Museum in
Aranelovac).

At the second day of the Nature Video Festival Green zone the audience selected the promo
video about the Special Nature Reserve Uvac as the best video of the day.

At the Movie (Street) Stage at the Niville Jazz Festival, on August 11, from 21:00 to 22:00, the
following videos were screened: Uvac (Rezervat Uvac LLC), Biosphere Reserve Bako
Podunavlje (MAB National Committee of Serbia), Experience Sjenica (Tourist organization of
Sjenica), Tara (Nikola Lukii), National Park Fruka Gora (Institute for Nature Conservation of
Vojvodina Province), erdap -bats (Public Enterprise National Park erdap) and Millenniums
(National Museum in Aranelovac).

On the third day of the Festival, the audience will have a chance to choose the best video of the day from
seven new videos: Danube (Tourist organization of Serbia), Imagine (IUCN), Bird ringing (Public
Enterprise Pali-Luda), Koviljsko-petrovaradinski rit (Institute for Nature Conservation of Vojvodina
Province), Cerje Cave (Directorate for Construction of the City of Ni), Deliblato Sands (Public
Enterprise Vojvodinaume).

Possible poisoning of white stork near the Natural Monument Forest of Bojin

In the vicinity of the Natural Monument Forest of Bojin (the Municipality of Surin), on
August 07, 2017, the inspectors of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the expert
associate of the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia got out on the field after receiving a
civilian call that a dead white stork (Ciconia cicconia) had been found. Four white storks
(Ciconia cicconia), a strictly protected species in the Republic of Serbia, were found dead. All
individuals were found within a few hundred meters, with characteristic bleeding from the oral
cavity, implying a possible carbofuran, furadan or some other pesticide poisoning, the use of
which is prohibited by law in Serbia.

Further investigation and autopsy will determine the cause of death, and thereafter, if the
symptoms indicate poisoning, a toxicological analysis of the blood of dead animals will be
conducted.

The police also got out on the field and made a report on this case which will be submitted to the
Second Basic Court in Surin upon receiving the results of autopsy and toxicological analysis.
