AT HARRYS HOUSE
Its Wednesday afternoon. Harrys mother isnt at home right now because shes
buying food for dinner. But Harry and his brothers and sisters are all in the house.
Harry is in the kitchen. On Mondays and Wednesdays, he cleans the kitchen
after school. Right now, hes washing the dishes. Harrys brothers are in the
kitchen too, but they arent helping. Pete is eating a sandwich and Tony is talking
on the telephone. Harrys big sister, Sue, and some of her friends are in the living
room. The girls usually do homework together, but today theyre listening to
music. Sues baby sister, Alice, is also in the living room. Shes sitting on the
white carpet and eating chocolate. The chocolate is in her mouth and on her
hands. Its on the carpet, too!
