OUTPUTS BY SUBSECTION FOR CLINICAL MODULES

(MEDICINE, PEDIATRICS/SURGERY, OB-GYN)

1. Each subsection must write two clinical questions for each clinical scenario. One MUST
be a treatment question, and the other can be one of the other types diagnosis,
prognosis, harm. EXCEPTION: If you will see a facilitator more than once for the school
term, then make sure you have one of each type of clinical question.
2. Each subsection must submit a written report (refer to separate file for format and
deadline)
3. Each subsection is divided into two groups on eLeap.
a. One clinical question per group.
b. Write one critical appraised topic for your question
c. Prepare oral presentation (with powerpoint slides)
d. Prepare one role play for your clinical question
e. Prepare one visual aid for the role play
4. ROLE PLAY. This demonstrates how you would use the information gained from your
critical appraisal of the journal article addressing your clinical question in a patient-
physician encounter. Use a visual aid to summarize your findings for your patient in the
role play.
5. EXTRA WORK. Check with your facilitator if they want you to prepare other things for
your presentation, eg, infographic for Dra. Calimag.
6. FACILITATOR PREFERENCE. Check with your facilitator if they have preferred
modifications of the general format given here and in the Format for Written Report.
