Atention: Mr. Eduardo Pardo
Subiect: Reservoir Fluid study
San Francisco 41 Well
San Francisco Field
RFL 270335,
Gentlemen:
Two subsurface samples of reservoir fluid were collected
from the subject well and delivered to our laboratory for
use in a reservoir fluid study. The results of the
subsequent study are presented in this report.
As a quality check, the room temperature saturation pressure
of the samples were initially determined. At 69°F, both
samples were found to have a bubble point pressure of 260
psig.
The hydrocarbon composition of the fluid was measured using
flash/chromatographic techniques. This analysis is reported
on page two together with the physical properties of the
heptanes plus fraction.
A portion of the fluid was charged to a high pressure visual
cell and thermally expanded to the reported reservoir
temperature of 135°F. During a subsequent constant
composition expansion, a bubble point of 466 psig was
observed. The results of the pressure-volume relation
measurements are summarized on page three and detailed on
page four.
When subjected to a differential vaporization at the
reservoir temperature of 135°F, the fluid liberated 80 cubic
feet of gas at 14.7 psia and 60°F per barrel of residual oil
at 60°F, The resulting relative oil volume factor was 1.065
barrels of saturated fluid per barrel of residual oil at
60°F. The oil density and the properties of the liberatedHOCOL, S.A. CL-87-501

gases were measured at each point during the differential
vaporization and these data are reported on page five and
presented graphically on pages ten through thirteen.
The viscosity of the reservoir fluid was measured over a
wide range of pressures in a rolling ball viscosimeter at
reservoir temperature. The viscosity of the fluid was found
to vary from a minimum of 6.945 centipoise at the bubble
point pressure to a maximum of 10.787 centipoise at
atmospheric pressure. These results are tabulated on page
six and presented graphically on pages fourteen and fifteen.
Four single-stage separator tests were performed at
laboratory temperature to determine the effects of separator
pressure upon gas-oil ratio, stock tank oil gravity and
formation volume factor. The results of these separator
tests are tabulated on page seven. The separator gas from
each of the four tests was collected and analyzed by routine
gas chromatography. The results of these separator gas
analyses are tabulated on page eight. Also, the
differential vaporization data was adjusted to the optimum
separator conditions as reported on page nine.
We would like to thank HOCOL, S.A. for the opportunity to
perform this reservoir fluid study. If you have any
questions or if we may be of further assistance, please feel
free to call upon us.
Truly yours,
