An Act to reform the Feed-in Tariff.

B E IT ENACTED by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of
the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled,
and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Single-rate reform
In the Feed-in Tariffs Order 2012 (S.I. 2012/2782), for article 16 (calculating and
publishing FIT payment rates), substitute
Single FIT payment rate
16A.(1) Paragraph (2) sets out
(a) the generation tariffs which are to apply to all accredited FIT
installations; and
(b) the export tariffs which are to apply to all accredited FIT installations.
(2) The tariff is 14 pence per kilowatt-hour.
(3) See sections 2 and 3 of the Feed-in Tariff Act 2014 (c. 36) for provision
relating to the application of the single-rate tariff to existing contracts and the
Renewable Heat Incentive.

2 Current contracts
Despite any previous provision, the single rate provided for under article 16A of
the Feed-in Tariffs Order 2012 shall apply to all current contracts.

3 Renewable heat incentive


The Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/2860) and the
the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/928)
are revoked.
2 Feed-in Tariff Act 2014

4 Length of contracts
The length of contracts for new installations shall be 7 years.

5 Extent, commencement and short title


(1) This Act extends to the whole of the United Kingdom.
(2) This Act comes into force on 1st January 2015.
(3) This Act may be cited as the Feed-in Tariff Act 2014.
