Right to Buy (Repeal) (Scotland) Act 2017

The Bill for this Act of the Scottish Parliament was passed by the Parliament on 25th
October 2017 and received Royal Assent on 29th October 2017

An Act of the Scottish Parliament to abolish the right-to-buy scheme.

1 Abolition of the right to buy scheme


The following enactments are repealed
(a) sections 61 to 81, 84 and 84A of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 (c. 26),
(b) section 52 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 (asp 10), and
(c) sections 145 to 147 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010 (asp 17).

2 Short title and commencement


(1) This Act may be cited as the Right to Buy (Repeal) (Scotland) Act 2017.
(2) This Act shall come into force 28 days from Royal Assent.
