All District Monitoring Officers, in Punjab, Subject: 1) LND KITAABCHA (VERSION-3) FOR GRADE 3 I) MONTHLY PRACTICE TEST FOR AUGUST 2017 ‘The Department is making concerted efforts to improve quality of education by measuring learning outcomes through the ‘six-monthly assessments’ (6MA) of the grade 3 students in Government and PEF schools, across Punjab. The test will take place in September 2017 and the Department is providing additional practice materials to help teachers reinforce concepts for the students. 2 LND KITAABCHA (VERSION-3) In order to meet the target of 75% score in 6MA in March, 2018, Department has decided to increase the number of SLOs tested in monthly LND tests by MEAs. In this regard, LND application has also been updated and LND Kitaabcha has been revised to include all SLOs which will be tested in 6MA. LND Kitaabeha Version-3 (Annex-A) includes question bank for all SLOs and remedial materials to provide guidance to teachers. These packages are additional resources for the teachers to give extra practice to students, D MONTHLY PRACTICE TEST (AUGUST-2017) The practice test has been developed on the 22 ‘Six-monthly assessment’ SLOs to provide students with extra practice on the basic literaey and numeracy. The questions follow the pattern of 6MA test that will be conducted in September 2017. The sample is intended to help teachers predict their student’s performance on the six-monthly assessment and prepare them accordingly (Annex-B LND monthly practice test for August-17). The test should be provided to all schools by the AEOs / DDEOs during schoo! visits. Please circulate the test among the AEOs with the following guidelines: a. This practice test has SLOs and questions on the pattern of the *Six-monthly assessments’, AEOs and DDEOs must direet all the schools to use this practice test to prepare for the upcoming 6MA and expanded 6MA exams in September. b. Ask teachers to get these photocopied for all grade 3 students in your schools. Instruct teachers in the school to use this practice test with grade 3 studentsduring the month of August. MEAs will check the presence and usage of these practice tests by students 4. CEOs and DEOs are directed to ensur that LND Kitaabeha Version-3 and LND practice test for August reach all the schools during the month of August. MEAs will monitor the presence and usage of these materials and it wi also become part of the monthly datapacks. 5.
