Right from my childhood, I have been fascinated by the wonders of physics,

mathematics, philosophy and music. I found out that all my interests collaborated
with the field of electricity. The potent power of electricity to revolutionize the
world in a positive way, as well its magnitude, drew me to Electrical Engineering.

When I came to know about challenges of the modern world and the possibilities of
using education, particularly research studies, I decided to pursue my interest in
electrical engineering. After completing my IGCSEs in 2013 with 7A* and 1A grade,
I got selected to join Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai Campus, with a
Presidential Scholarship. The years I spent at RIT were the most influential and
informative in my life. I learnt the fundamental concepts of electricity as well as the
current developments in the field. With so much of enthusiasm and interest, I learnt
Thevenins and Nortons theorem. I also remember the times when I used to work in
the Electrical engineering lab at dusk, finding innovative methods of building
efficient circuits with improved efficiency. As I went deeper and deeper into the field
of electrical engineering, I felt a strong desire to research on the possibilities of
electricity. I wanted to explore innovative methods of building circuits with minimal
environmental impact. This arduous urge prompted me to leave RIT for Australian
National University (ANU) in pursuit of better research opportunities.

My semester at ANU was filled with many interesting and inspiring experiences. I
was exposed to vast plethora of knowledge and research. I got the opportunity to
learn from many great professors in the engineering and science field, as well as I
was able to interact with a vast diversity of students from all the corners of the
globe. However, I was feeling homesick at Canberra, and I deeply missed UAE while
I was studying at ANU.

My homesickness has propelled me to apply to AUD to continue my Bachelors

degree, so that I can enhance my knowledge and explore unvisited horizons in the
field of engineering under the mentorship and guidance of distinguished professors
at AUD. I wish to research further in Electrical Engineering after my degree, and use
my knowledge to improve the lives of the unprivileged, and make the world a better
place.
