General overview:

10 month contract

Work load - 24 teaching hours per week plus up to 6 hours per week meetings /proofreading
/seminars /other duties (on demand)

Fixed salary - USD 650 per month (paid in full by the 5th day of the following month in local
currency)

Overtime - USD 6 per hour on top of the fixed salary (has to be agreed with the Teacher in
advance)

Paid holidays on a 10-month contract will be 16 days at New Year / Christmas (December 25 -
January 9) and 7-9 days of public holidays throughout the year.

Accommodation shared or single, provided by the school (or accommodation allowance of


USD 300 per month)

Utilities, Internet, phone bills - paid by the Teacher / deducted from salary

Travel allowance cost of the ticket up to USD 750 paid by the School at the end of a 10-month
contract. In case of early termination of the contract by the Teacher, no travel allowance is paid.

Work and Residence permit for a 10-month contract - supported and paid by the school (except
apostil from the home country)

Professional development - the school will provide the Teacher with mentoring/assisted lesson
planning during the first month and full support regarding lessons/teaching/methodology and
other matters.

Romanian/Russian classes two hours per week provided by the school during first two months

Process of legalization in Moldova:

The School supports the Teacher in getting the legalized work and residence permit. This
process takes around two months.
The application consists of several documents. Most of them will be prepared by the School.
However, some of them have to be brought by the Teacher from his/her home country. They
include:
1) Diploma/Certificate from College apostiled in the home country
2) CELTA/TESOL/TEFL Certificate apostiled in the home country
3) Criminal Record Check apostiled in the home country

Without these apostiled papers Moldovan authorities will not consider the application.
