My Italian Adventure

Project Summary
For my EDGE Project, I traveled to northern Italy. I
lived with the Debiasi family in Ora, Italy, and
learned the language and history of the region. I spent
time with the family, living everyday life in Europe.

I chose this project because I had the opportunity to


visit Italy a few years ago, and wanted to make my
travel more meaningful by studying the language,
learning the history, and making connections abroad.

Project Highlights
I had the opportunity to do so many amazing things
A popular tourist attraction, The Rock pyramids located in
in Italy! A few of them include:
Renon, Italy, were formed by water and wind wearing
away at the earth, but the rocks stayed in their position,
Traveling around Northern Italy, visiting places
like Renon, Trento, and Bolzano. creating unique pyramids.

Becoming more familiar with the Italian


language and being able to use it!
Making connections with friends and family
abroad, allowing me to move to Europe after
graduation.

From My Journal
Today we travelled to Bolzano by train. Carolina
and I went shopping in a local bookshop, ate some
delicious gelato, and finally, visited Carolinas
grandfather. He showed us lots of family albums and
told us the history and stories behind every picture!

minute bus ride from where I was living. My friend
Carolina attends University here.
