Lab #5 Conclusion

In order for us, to correlate the theoretical and experimental result in the
range of velocity for laminar and turbulent flow, first, we have researched a
video wherein our laboratory report will be based on, then, we have studied
the problem that weve chose and calculated the flow rate ( Q=vol./time),
the velocity of the fluid ( V=Q/A), and the Reynolds no. (RE=) where we
can be able to determine whether the flow is in laminar or turbulent flow.
Based on the results, we can now therefore conclude that the answers that
we have arrived from satisfied the objective of this laboratory report was
looking for and we have learned that as the ink opens, the velocity of the
water flow increases that resulted the flow to have Re nos. of 23,212.5 and
20,600 which are in turbulent flow as the theory of this laboratory states
that Re Nos. above 3000 indicates to be in turbulent flow while when the ink
slowly closed, the velocity of the water flow decreases that resulted the flow
to have Re nos. of 745 and 627.5 which indicates that the flow is in laminar
as the theory of this laboratory says that Re. Nos. below 200 are laminar
flow.
