Tuition Loan Application Mechanics

Applied Loan Amount


A student can choose an amount from the following options:
o Maximum Loan Amount - A percentage of the assessed amount based on the student's
degree level.
70% for Undergraduate students in their first or second year in the University
80% for Undergraduate students in their third year or above in the University
85% for Graduate or Juris Doctor students
o 100% Loan Amount - Applying for this amount requires the Chancellor's Approval.
o Other Amount - Specify some other amount.
The amount corresponding to the student fund is automatically excluded from calculations.

Supporting Documents
The following documents must be submitted with the application form. Originals should be
presented for verification.
o A photocopy of the students ID
o A photocopy of the codebtor's valid ID

Valid Reasons for 100% Loan


Per EO No. PAEP 13-04 and confirmed by the 1288th BOR meeting on 20 June 2013, the
following are the valid reasons for 100% loan:
o Unexpected delays in the receipt of funds for enrolment
o Pending STFAP/STS result
o Pending STFAP/STS appeal result
o Sudden changes in family's financial situation (must specify)

Acceptable Co-debtors
According an excerpt of the Minutes of the 1221st Meeting of the Board of Regents held on 28
June 2007, BOR Room, Quezon Hall, Diliman, Quezon City, parents and relatives of the student
are the acceptable co-debtors.
