Luway-luway
napupundo na an lampara
kan saldang sa kanluran
dakulang tamong
minataklob na sa paningoron
mga lalake saka babaye
pauruli na
sa mga harong kan kaogmahan
ta mairinom, mabarayle
an aki diretso sana man hiling
makolor na kahon an katam-
pad.

Slowly
The lamp of the sun
Flickers in the West.
A big blanket
Covers the sky.
Men and women
Are bound
For the house of mirth
Where they will drink,
dance
While a child stares
At the colorful box before
him.
