BELLOWS - GUIDEWAY WIPERS HERMLE Intpection and replacement Guideway wipers are provided to protect the Z and Y axis guideways. The X and Z axis guideways are protected by bellows with steel plates. Check these guideway wipers and bellows at least every 50 service hours to make sure that they are in no way @anaged. If they are damaged we recommend that these parts be replaced without delay. when doing this, make sure that the opportunity is taken to thoroughly clean the guideways. spare parts: 4% axis wiper (column guideway) Part No. 106-03.15.07 ¥ axis wiper (spindle carriage) Part No, 106.01.17.07 Bellows with steel plates, left Part No. 105.03-25.01 Bellows with steel plates, right Part No. 106.03.26.01 Bellows for vertical guideway Part No, 106-01.18.00 ® nan replacing. —~Q. | (Ti cautsous Cleen Spring tape = protection coil on the outside end oil it thee: BERTHOLD HERMLE GMBH & CO - WERKZEUGMASCHINENFABRIK - D 7209 GOSHEM 275 6 HERMLE ADJUSTING THE TAPER 6IBS ‘The guideway clearances are adjusted by means of gibs with a taper of 1:100. x ® re Column cour the vertical table. ® ® Adjustment is made by undoing the locknut (3) ‘and turning the regulating aut (4). Principle of operation: Anbient air is drawn in through fa filter and the clean air is blown into the control cabinet. The warm air passes out through an exit filter. A pressure slightly in excess of atmospheric is produced inside the cabinet, and this prevents the ingress of dust through any locations which are not airtight. Cleaning or changing the filte Since the anount of dust occurring at different sites whe: the machine is used can vary greatly, it is not possible to give any generally valid information about the tine interval between cleaning or replacing the filter. We recommend that the frequency be determined empirically. Cleaning: Wash in water no hotter than 40°C, using normal comercially-available domestic washing powders if required. ‘he filters can also be beaten out, vacuum cleaned and blown with compressed air. If the dust contains grease wash the filters in warm water with the addition of a grease-dissolving agent. y ' AM (NN Spare fiite: Filter mat PG 15/500/AK 12 I \ LAR WIM Tienes 68, COOLING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE. The machining cycle “circular slot" allows for ailing of circular stots If'atiling of several slats 1s required, they can be arranged around a center of a civele, Make sure the aianeter of the milling cutter is. at {feast 0.8 mm nailer than the slot wigth for circular milling of slots. ‘The tool penetrates the workpiece from the starting position and mills the slot in the circular direction. After vertical feed at the end of the Slot, ailing 43 resuned inthe opposite direction. The procedure 1s re peated until the programmed miT1ing depth is reached: After that the tool follows the contours of the slot giving it the pro- grammed width. ‘The cycle fs effective in the three planes (1-¥), (Y-2), (Z-K). Selection Of the plane is by TOOL CALL and definition of the spindle axis (X/¥/Z).
