Connective Tissue Proper

Loose =
*Areolar Loose Connective tissue Proper = Blood Vessels/Alveoli = Cushions Organs
*Adipose loose connective tissue proper = in Fat = Protection
*Reticular Loose connective tissue proper (Silver Stain is green) = LYMPH NODEs/SPLEEN = for SUPPORT

Dense =
*Dense Regular Connective = Tendons/Ligaments = for tension
*Dense Irregular = Thick skin = For compression
*Dense Elastic = (Ramen Noodles) = Aorta = Resistance to stretched forces

3 Types of Cartilage Connective Tissue

-Hyaline Cartilage = Trachea = Provides support under compression
-Fibrocartilage = Pubic Symphysis/Invetrbral Disc = Minimal stretching
-Elastic Cartilage (Lots of dark holes of lacunae) = Found in the EAR = Allows flexibility

Epithelium Tissue

*Simple Squamous Epithelium = Alveoli/Blood vessels = For secretion

*Simple Columnar Epithelium= Stomach, intestine = Secretion and/absorption

*Simple Cuboidal Epithelium = Thyroid Gland/Kidney tubules = Secretion/absorption

=====
*Pseudostratified ciliated Columnar Epithelium = Lining of nasal cavity/Trachea = Protection and Secretion

===
*Stratified Squamous Epithelium = Vagina, rectal, esophagus = Protection

*Stratified Cuboidal = found in sweat glands = Protection

*Transitional Epithelium = Bladder = Allows stretching.
