Also available In high-grade grey cast iron (THDC) ‘0r spheroidal graphite cast iron (THDD). = Labyrinth seals. ~ Special design suitable for belt conveyors. THD take-up housings THD housings are non-split bearing hous- ings for use with spherica roller bearings ‘on adapter sleoves and pln or stepped cylindrical shafts. They are available for shaft diameters from 50 2 30 mm, and Y° depending on requirements, can be sup- plied for locating bearing arrangements (F design) or nor-locating bearing arrange- ments (L design). ‘Materials ‘As standard, the housings are manu {actured in cast steel (THCS). I required, housings can be made fram grey cast iron (THDC) or sphercidal graphite cast iron (THDD). Seals The THD housings are fitted with labyrinth seals, The housings can be supplied with ‘end covers (design A) or for through shatts (design 8). SKF Lubrication THD housings are designed for grease lubrication, The recommended intial {grease fil for each housing is shown in the housing tables, Mounting ‘The bearings are normally mountes on adapter sleeves. Adapler sieaves (cesig- ration OH ..H) for oil injection mounting are recommended for bearings with taper- {ed bore from d = 200 mm. Ifrequired, ‘housings can be supplied for boarings with cylindrical bore. 219THD tako-up housings Designation system The designations of the housings are ‘made up ofthe basic designation denoting the basic design, material and size plus supplementary designations covering design variants.
