‘A - Alormost standard techniques will detect this imperfection under all or most conditions.
'=- One or more standard technique(s) wil detec this imperfection under certain conciions.
Special techniques, conditions, andlor personnel qualifications are required to detect this imperfection,
NOTES: Methods qapable of dotecing imperfections that: fare open tothe gurace only. “are either open to the surtace or
slightly subsurtace. Smay be located anywhere within the examined volume. “Various NDE methods are capable of
detecting tertiary (3rd stage) creep and some, particulary using special techniques, are capable of detecting secondary
(2nd stage) creep. There are various descriptions! detintlons forthe stages of creep and a paricular desenptiondetnition
wi not be applicable to all materials and product forms. GENERAL NOTE: Table A-110 ists imperfections and NDE
methods that are capable of detecting them. It must be kept in mind that this table is very general in nature. Many factors
iniuence the detectability of impertactons. This Table assumes that onty qualified personnel are performing nondestructive
examinations and good conditions exist to permit examination (good access, sutace conditions, cleanliness, etc).
