ABSTRACT
Vibrations are a part of everyday life. In mechanical engineering vibration are
considered an undesirable phenomenon that may have a detrimental effect on machine
structures. Vibrations cause fatigue and wear. Often they are responsible for the cancellation
that can happen to the machine.
The paper presents the types, characteristics, division, marking, selection, installation
and lubrication of rolling bearings, followed by types of roller bearings failure, and a review of
the method for fault detection through measurement and vibration analysis is given.
Experimental research, introduction with measuring equipment and model of rotary
machine, identification of characteristic frequency of rolling bearings in the vibration signal
was done.
