The STP is a strategy of modern marketing it involves segmentation targeting and

poisoning. The market segmentation is process of dividing the markets into a group for
the customers, its a method of capturing the market and targeting the right customers
for the product. In this function researcher research about what is the actual needs and
wants of the customer and they target the right customer wholl purchase the product.
For example; In a Nagpur city, there are few standard areas like sadar, dharampeth, civil
line etc. in this areas people can purchase the branded products. such as Levis, pepe
jeans, wrangler etc. however if market opens in rural areas then itll not work so STP
strategy defines that create the segmentation of a market, target right customer and
Build a position that customer can easily attract.

Before understanding the topic, we need to understand that what is market and their
structures, there are two types of market. Competitive and non-competitive, competitive
market involves perfect competition, monopolistic competition, oligopoly whereas non-
competitive involve monopoly.

The reason I choose this topic to determine that why people are so interested in buying
Levis and pepe jeans instead of other brands. These brands provide finest quality of
jeans so that customer never goes to other brands. And the best part of these jeans that
they provide is durability of jeans so that improves the interest of customer in buying.
