Ventlaten and fr Conotioeing 6.2 Building Management System (BMS Building Management System with one (1) loop shall be provided. ‘The loop shall handle all HVAC remote indications, signals and controls from all indoor electrical, instrumentation and control ofall process areas of the Plant. ‘Complete air conditioning (, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Dampers, valves etc), ventilation, MFDs, te. shall be controlled by suitable building management system with complete automatic functioning including cyclic changeover, operation of standby in case of failure of running units, etc. Suitable PC's with 24° LCD monitors shall be provided including all necessary software. ‘Suitable training shall be provided for Employer staff for operation’maintenance of BMS system. ‘The hardware/software used shall be an open-protocol system, and is subject to approval. The ‘building management system shall be interfaced with the DCS LAN in CCR to forward to the DCS operator stations temperature alarms of the rooms, faults alarm and status indication of the equipment. Interface to Plant OCS system shall be made redundant and subject to approval Plant DCS shall be subject to Employer/Engineer’s approval. The central workstations of BMS shall be located in the Central Control Room (CCR) of existing Station ‘The Building Management System (BMS) shall be a digital microprocessor based system of the latest proven technology. It shall incorporate microprocessor based general purpose Direct Digital Controllers (DDC) at the field level which shall interface directly vith sensors, actuators, pneumatic and electric controls, etc. The DDC shall be provided on standalone basis and Individually for each area, Each DDC shall have real time clock, EEPROM, RAM, PEER to PEER, communication and shall be provided with a Portable Operator Terminal, The building management system shall incorporate at the automation level System Controllers which shall have, but not limited to, the following functions: ‘+ Tomanage communieation wth the DDC controllers. ‘+ Communication wth other system contol ‘+ Communication o the building management system operator ork stations. ‘+ Alarm and message management + Trend log ‘The operator workstation shall be complete with monitor, Keyboard, and mouse. The operator ‘workstation shall have, but not limited to, the following functions: ‘+ Graphic based operation of the HVAC system + Trend viewer + Scheduling ‘+ Alarm management ‘+ Monitor: 24° LCD (LCD TFT.)
