September 2017 Newsletter (Issue 1)

Welcome to the 2017-18 school year at Lima Senior High School!! Its an exciting year with many changes and
challenges that will promote the safety, security and most importantly, the success of our students. Its also an exciting
year for our Senior class as they start their journey to the next level after high school; whether that is college, military or
entering the workforce.

Meet your counselors


Mr. Campbell (students A-D)
My name is Scott E. Campbell, Lima Senior Guidance Counselor for students with last names
A - - D. This 2017-2018 school year will mark the beginning of my 41st year teaching, all in the
Lima City Schools. I taught Social Studies and coached at Lima South Junior High for 14 years
before starting as a Guidance Counselor in 1991 at Lima Senior. I went to elementary school at
Washington- Mckinley, junior high school at Lima South, and graduated from Lima Senior in
1972. I graduated from Otterbein College in 1976 and received my Master's Degree in
Counseling from the University of Dayton in 1980.
I am married with 3 children and one grand-daughter.
Each day is a new challenge and I love working with our student's at Lima Senior High School! I

Mrs. Ciminillo (students E-K)


My name is Lisa Ciminillo, School Counselor for students with last names E-K. I am in my 33rd
year of teaching. I taught Marketing Education and was a DECA Advisor for 21 years and have
been a School Counselor at Lima Senior High School for the last 12 years.
I graduated from Elida High School and received my Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State
University. I obtained Master's degrees from Bowling Green State University and the University
of Dayton.
I have been married for 23 years.
I love working with our Spartan students at Lima Senior High School. I can be reached by

Mrs. Dues (students L-R)


My name is Jordane Dues. I'm a Lima native, graduated from Elida High School in 2009. I
graduated from The Ohio State University with my Bachelor's in English in 2013 and
immediately continued into my Master's program for School Counseling at Bowling Green State
University. I graduated with my Master's in 2015. I got married to my husband in July 2015. We
have two cats: Millie and Oakley. We're expecting our first child in November (I will be on
maternity leave November and December!!). I love spending time with my husband and I's
families. I absolutely love working for the students of Lima City Schools and I'm proud to be a
Spartan!
Mrs. Sterling (students S-Z)

My name is Kellie Sterling. I graduated from Ottoville High School, received my Bachelors
degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and my Masters degree
from Bowling Green State University as well in School Counseling. I am married and have one
daughter. I enjoy the fall weather and what it brings. Spending time with family and friends is
very important to me. I am a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and now a fan of the Lima Senior
Spartans!!

Mrs. Snider, Counselors Secretary

Hello, my name is Peggy Snider. I retired as a teacher after 30 years at Lima Senior High School
in 2013 and returned to the Lima City School district in 2014 as a library clerk at Unity
Elementary, South Science & Technology, and Freedom Elementary. I returned to the high
school as the counselors secretary in 2016. I received my Bachelors degree from Bowling
Green State University.
I am married to my husband, Bill, and have two sons; Drew (27) and Mike (24). I enjoy spending
time with my family, attending and participating in sporting events, and I especially love to
travel. I truly feel like a SPARTAN!

Mr. Perrine, Counseling Intern
Hello my name is Kody Perrine and I am an intern here with the counseling department
for the 2017-2018 school year. I currently attend Wright State University where I
received my B.A in Psychology and am pursuing my M.E in School Counseling. Just a
little bit about me, I grew up here in Lima where I was a 2011 graduate of Elida High
School. I am married to my lovely wife Jordan and we have one son (Kyson) who is 16
months old and one more on the way (January!). I am the mens assistant bowling coach
at UNOH here in Lima. I am a huge sports fan in general and a few of my other interests
are bowling, reading, video games and music. If you have any questions for me (or want
to talk!) just stop by the counseling department and I would love to chat. I will be here on
Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
