Abstract: The evaluation of some interpolation schemes frequently used in the solution of convective-dominant flow
is performed. The schemes are assessed solving 1D and 2D linear and non-linear problems in steady and transient
states. The finite volumes method is employed and the FCT (Flux-Corrected Transport) strategy is used in conjunction
with some higher order schemes aiming to avoid numerical oscillations. It is proposed a methodology for clearly
comparing the performance of several interpolation schemes.
