NOTATION SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE

I have used Noteflight to create an arrangement of the Ghosts n Goblins theme song (1985),
written by Ayoko Mori. Ive had a fondness for this song ever since I first played the game and
developed a vision for the song to be played in a jazzy style. The game is notorious for being challenging,
and I relate that to my college music experience so far compared to how often it was unchallenging
prior.

I really didnt have much trouble figuring out how to put what was in my head onto the screen.
It takes a little getting used to how note placement and deletion exactly functions on Noteflight, but
other than that everything you need is laid out nicely on the left tab. As I went on, I memorized where
actions were and took note of the keyboard shortcuts. By the end of the arrangement, I was almost
seamlessly adding notes, shifting pitches, and placing accents. While I have worked countless hours on
other notation programs, my opinion remains that these programs do nothing but enable me to layout
my vision with instant feedback. I would love to learn more advanced software in the future.
