picturesque city, travel to Usulutn, El Salvador and visit the City of Alegria, which is located
just 142 kilometers from the capital San Salvador, has an estimated 15,000 inhabitants in an
area of 43.2 square kilometers.

Alegra is a municipality in the department of Usulutn, located in the eastern region of the
country, located at an altitude of 1240 meters, which makes this city has a temperate climate.
The main economic activity of the population is the cultivation of coffee. Alegria is bordered on
the north by Mercedes Umaa, on the east by Jucuapa and Santiago de Mara, on the south by
Santiago de Maria and Tecapn, and on the west by Berlin.

This city of friendly people has a very cool climate to be surrounded by ample vegetation,
coffee plantations, a mountainous area and the best, its volcanic lagoon, to which many people
attend because they have a legend about a mermaid and because it is said that their waters are
medicinal, because being of volcanic origin and located in the crater, it has among other
