In the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 outs and runner on first, score tied 3-3, Hagen Owenby

#49 was at bat with 0-0 count and Kevin Maitan #26 was the runner at first. The pitcher,
Garrett Anderson #19, threw over to first base and I called Maitan out. After I called Maitan
out, he stood up and threw his helmet down saying No me toco, no me toco. (he did not tag
me).

I told him Si te toco (Yes, he tagged you).

Braves Manager Nestor Perez #4 came to my position between first and second saying
Hardlen, he tagged him on the hip. He is not out, you have to be sure that he tagged him.

I responded to Perez No he tagged him on the hands.

While I was talking to Perez, Maintan was walking to his position at short stop and saying
something in my direction, but I could not hear what it was. I looked at Maitan and said to him
while giving a visual warning with my left hand Kevin, Im not talking to you. Im talking to
Nestor.

Perez then turned to Maitan and said I got this.

Perez then turned back to me and repeated no he tagged him on the hip.

I told him No he did not.

Perez started to walk towards his position in the first base side dugout when Maitan turned
and said audibly to me Ponte los lentes (put your glasses on)!

I immediately gave the ejection mechanic and said You are done.

Perez jogged back to my position and asked Por que lo expulsaste? Por que? (why did you
eject him? Why?)

I responded Because he said that I have to put on glasses

Perez turned and walked away from my position and proceeded towards to the dugout. The
game continued without further incident.
