Checklist- Guide for Research

Below is a chart to guide your research. Use the guidelines to help you in
determining useful information to include in your presentation. Remember, it is
your responsibility as Travel Consultant for GlobeTrotter Travel, to make this
experience for your clients to be a safe, memorable, and enjoyable trip, and they
will want to book more trips with you in the future.

1. Country: use the websites to find information on each country on the table and
one additional country in the region.

2. Climate: Find out what the traveler can expect in the way of weather,
temperature, etc. that coincides with the seasons.

3. Culture/Religions: Very important topics- Tourists need to have basic


understanding of the major religious groups in the regions. They also need to
understand cultural norms, customs, and traditions.

4. Safety/Visitor information: EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! Make sure you provide


appropriate guides for foreign travel in each country. The CIA Factbook is an
excellent website that can help. ( for this, its best to use . gov cites)

5. Points of interest- Research each country to find specific places that have
historic value and worldwide appeal. Include a brief explanation detailing why this
place is so interesting. It could be a city, a monument, a landmark, a palace, etc.

6. Photos- Be sure to include visual graphics in your project. You may embed a video
link as well.

7. Free choice- You will find one more country in the region to include in the
presentation.
