Las Cuentas Nacionales Trimestrales ecuatorianas No. 95, presentan resultados

desestacionalizados (estndar internacional requerido), en valores corrientes (US dlares)
y constantes (US 2007=100), en niveles, tasas de variacin, trimestral, t/t-1, respecto al
trimestre anterior y variaciones inter-anuales, t/t-4, respecto al mismo trimestre del ao
anterior.

Las cifras de las Cuentas Nacionales Trimestrales tienen el carcter de preliminares y su

condicin de definitivas la adquieren cuando las Cuentas Nacionales Anuales as lo
determinan.

 RESULTADOS EN VALORES CORRIENTES Y CONSTANTES
En el primer trimestre de 2016, el Producto Interno Bruto, PIB, en valores corrientes (a precios de
cada trimestre) alcanz los USD 24,428 millones. En el mismo perodo, el PIB en valores se ubic en
USD 17,113 millones. El deflactor del PIB trimestral (142.7) mostr un decrecimiento de los precios
agregados de la economa en -0.6%, respecto al trimestre anterior.

 IMPORTACIONES
En el primer trimestre de 2016, las Importaciones de Bienes y Servicios se ubicaron en USD 5,113
millones corrientes (a precios de cada trimestre) y en USD 4,811 millones a precios constantes. El
deflactor trimestral de las importaciones (106.3) mostr una variacin negativa de -1.8% de los
precios de las compras externas, respecto al trimestre anterior.

 GASTO DE CONSUMO FINAL DE LOS HOGARES
El Gasto de Consumo Final de los Hogares alcanz USD 15,017 millones corrientes (a precios de
cada trimestre) y USD 10,514 millones a precios constantes de 2007. El deflactor trimestral
(142.8) mostr un crecimiento de 0.3% de los precios internos de las adquisiciones en bienes y
servicios (consolidados), respecto al trimestre anterior.

 GASTO DE CONSUMO DEL GOBIERNO GENERAL
En el primer trimestre de 2016, el Gasto de Consumo Final de bienes y servicios del Gobierno
General fue de USD 3,583 millones corrientes (a precios de cada trimestre) y de USD 2,352
millones a precios constantes de 2007. El deflactor trimestral de este tipo de Gasto del Gobierno
General se ubic en 152.3 y mostr un crecimiento de 0.5% en los precios de sus adquisiciones de
bienes y servicios.

 FORMACIN BRUTA DE CAPITAL FIJO
La Formacin Bruta de Capital Fijo, en valores corrientes (a precios de cada trimestre) alcanz
USD 6,459 millones en el primer trimestre de 2016; de su lado en el mismo perodo, a precios
constantes de 2007, se ubic en USD 4,391 millones. El deflactor (147.1) mostr un crecimiento
de los precios de la inversin en 1.5%, respecto al trimestre anterior.

 EXPORTACIONES
En el primer trimestre de 2016, las Exportaciones de Bienes y Servicios se ubicaron en USD 4,691
millones (a precios de cada trimestre) y en USD 4,755 millones a precios constantes de 2007. El
deflactor trimestral de esta variable fue 98.7 lo que evidenci un decrecimiento de -3.0% de los
precios de las ventas externas ecuatorianas, respecto al trimestre anterior.

 LA ECONOMA ECUATORIANA DECRECI EN EL PRIMER TRIMESTRE DE 2016

En el primer trimestre de 2016, el PIB de Ecuador, a precios constantes, mostr una

variacin trimestral (t/t-1, respecto al cuarto trimestre de 2015) de -1.9% y un
decrecimiento inter-anual de -3.0% (t/t-4, respecto al primer trimestre de 2015).

 FORMACIN BRUTA DE CAPITAL FIJO
La FBKF (activos fijos no financieros de los sectores pblico y privado de la economa) en el primer
trimestre de 2016, mostr un decrecimiento de -4.0% en relacin al trimestre anterior; y de -8.9% con
respecto al primer trimestre de 2015 (variacin inter-anual t/t-4). La Agricultura (1.76%) contribuy
positivamente con 0.04 puntos porcentuales a la variacin trimestral de la FBKF.

DECRECI EN EL PRIMER TRIMESTRE DE 2016
El Gasto de Consumo Final del Gobierno General mostr un decrecimiento de -5.2%, en relacin al
cuarto trimestre de 2015 (t/t-1) y una tasa de variacin de -3.2% con respecto al primer trimestre de
2015 (t/t-4). La contribucin a la variacin trimestral del PIB, (t/t-1) fue de -0.74%.

En cuanto a la variacin interanual del PIB (-3.0%); la Agricultura (0.19); Suministro de Electricidad
y agua (0.11); y, Pesca (excepto camarn) (0.04), fueron las actividades econmicas que presentaron
una contribucin positiva (puntos porcentuales) a la variacin inter-anual del PIB.

primer trimestre de 2016 (t/t-1), y se redujo en -5.5% en relacin al primer trimestre de 2015 (t/t-4).
