I am writing this letter to explain why I was absent from work yesterday (August 8, 2017). At around 11:00
am yesterday my sister informed me that today is the first death anniversary of my father and asked me to
assist her in the preparation for todays event. I was supposed to go on duty but because of the significance of
the occasion, I opted to inform Maam Kristi Bejerano of my absence.

I am truly sorry for any inconvenience my absence yesterday may have caused. I am hoping for your kind
consideration regarding this matter. Attached herewith is a copy of my fathers death certificate.
