Dear Parent/Guardian:

We are pleased to announce that your child has been selected to participate in
Boyle County Middle Schools Summer Reading Program for the 2017 summer.
The program will begin on Tuesday May 30th and will continue until July 27th. This will
be an intensive program designed to enhance your childs reading skills and to assist
them in reaching their educational goals. Books will be provided to students.
Students will be required to attend all three sessions at the middle school with
three FREE field trips included. Field trip possibilities include a ropes course, zip line
adventure, Newport Aquarium, Cincinnati history museum, Shaker Village hike, 6 flags
Kentucky Kingdom, and others.
There are a limited number of openings for the program, so please send in
your response promptly or another student will be selected.
Parents can opt-out of the program by indicating below that their child will not be
participating in the Summer Reading Program.

The reading program will be held on the following dates from 7:30-12:00pm. With
breakfast starting at 8:00 am and lunch starting at 12:00pm in the high school cafeteria.
Your child MUST have transportation to and from the school each meeting date.

*Breakfast and Lunch will be provided to your student every day except lunch on field
trip days.

A separate notice will be sent out with specific session details as well as field trip
information.
It is very important that children who participate in this program are committed and
consistently attend every meeting date, and complete their reading logs in order to fully
benefit from the instruction.

We are very excited to be able to offer this program and look forward to your childs
participation. Please complete the information attached and return this to the front office
by THIS Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017.
