LEARNING AND INSIGHTS

As I make my way to the last semester of my year in college, i am required to take the
on-the-job training to a certain establishment for preparation in working in the real world. I am
an intern in a logistic company, Wide Wide World Express Corporation that provides express
deliveries and logistics solutions. I was assigned in the accounting department and was
supervised by Ms. Mary Jane Espaola. On my first day, I was very nervous because it is my
first time to work even though I am just a trainee there but the people I have worked with made it
very enjoying. I have experience a lot of accounting works like monthly production report
preparation, payroll, filing, sorting of files, as well as encoding of deliver details. Under the
supervision of Ms. Espaola, I have learned a lot of things especially in this type of work which
is very new to me.

Working in a logistics company is very challenging but it is also fun because aside from
acquiring new knowledge and application of what I have learned in school, it helps me improve
my self confidence in socializing to people and to my co-workers. I apply my knowledge about
cost accounting because my supervisor involves me into the inventories of materials and supplies
in the establishment. I also learned the process that the other employees are following about the
everyday transaction of the company. I have developed as a trainee to manage the time on how to
finish the entire task that was assigned to me. I have learned to be flexible and adaptive to the
working environment which requires me to be initiative on what other task to perform which is
helpful to my superior.

I know that 200 hours is not enough to fully understand the real situation in working in
real world but I am sure that I can cope up easily and flexibly to whatever my future job will be.
I am grateful that I will be entering a new chapter in my life after this OJT. I am excited on what
will happen next.
