TECHNICAL OUTCOME (NOT SAC)

Scales
A minor is in the same key as Johann Sebastian Bachs piece Enlgish Suite II, this scale will
be played over two octaves instead of four octaves in this image.

D flat major is in the same key as Sergei Bortkiewiczs piece Etude op. 15 no. 8, playing this
scale will benefit me in play the piece better. This will also be played over two octaves instead
of four like in the image.

E Major will be able to help me to play the key change in Etude op. 15 no. 8 where there are
lots of left hand scale runs. It will be played over two octaves instead of four.
D flat major arpeggio can help me left hand runs before the key change, it is important to
make it sound flowing. Played for two octaves.

Exercises
This exercise is taken from Sergei Bortkiewiczs Etude 15 No 8 This is the first four bars of
the key change, this will need to be played with dolce arminioso which means played

sweetly and harmoniously.

This exercise is taken from Sergei Bortkiewiczs Etude 15 No 8, this is the four bars before
the key change, and this will need to be played with ben cantando la melodia meaning that
the melody really needs to be emphasized and sung out on the left hand and the right hand
needs to be quite to hear it.
This exercise is the first five bars of Johann Sebastian Bachs English Suite No II playing the

first five bars requires me to play with non-legato meaning that the notes shouldnt be bound
together instead have the notes separated to make each note sound individual and have clear
sound for better clarity.
The last exercise will just be a D flat major broken chords, this help with the left hand pattern
during the dramatic ending of Bortkiewiczs ending.
