Title: Minsan may isang Puta
Author: Mike Portes
To be performed by: Hananiah Alix, Athena Genilan and Jamillah Villar
Division: Small scale

The text is about how the people in the Philippines are being brainwashed by foreign countries
and how Filipinos basically treat their own country. It is like the Philippines is speaking for itself
and the twist of this narrative text was creatively done because at first you will only think that it is
about how women are viewed in the society, but it is really about the Philippines as a country. It
is also a sort of an eye-opener for the Filipinos that we should show real love for our country
and it exposes the fact that many of us doesnt really care about the real situation of our country
anymore. As citizens of the Philippines, we are aware of what is going on but sometimes we just
try to ignore the issues that our country is facing and how we are more inclined to support other
countries instead of our own country. That is why we chose this piece because we think that we
also became more concerned about what we could get from other countries rather than
supporting our own country and be a contributor for its growth. It is a struggle between the
citizens and its own country as we also struggle for our love for our country.
