Chairperson Education and Sports 10.Legal Advisor B. GUIDELINES IN THE ALUMNI EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS 1. A person wishing to stand for any of the Alumni Executive Position shall show proof of having paid a non-refundable Nomination Fees of Ugx.400,000/=(Four Hundred Thousand Only) for the President and Vice President and AnkwONneUgx.200,000/=(Two Hundred Taousand Only) for all other postions. Funds shall be paid in the Bank after generating a reference number at Nkumba University. Please clearly indicate your name and the position you intend to apply for as you make your payments. The Nomination Form may be collected from the Main Campus or Kampala Campus or downloaded from the University website:www.nkumbauniversity.ac.ug and returned to the Academic Registrar at the Main Campus by Wednesday 20% September, 2017. All aspiring candidates will appear before the Electoral Commission on Thursday 21: September 2017 from 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. and it is the Electoral Commission which shall declare the successful candidates. Aspiring candidates should come for vetting with three (3) supporters. Each Candidate shall have two (2) Agents on the Polling Day who shall be10. authorized to sign the Declaration Forms at the end of the Elections. There shall be fifteen (15) Minutes of Open Campaign on the day of voting for the President and the Vice President and ten (10) minutes for the other Executive Posts. The Returning Officer may vary the allocated time above as he/she may deem fit. Polling day is Saturday 23rd September 2017 from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. The Ballot will be on the basis of ONE PERSON ONE VOTE. The Voters Register shall be the Graduation Booklets or any former Nkumba University Identity card plus a National Identity card.. Those intending to vote shall have evidence (receipt) of having paid the Annual Subscription fee of Ugx 10,000/= (Ten thousand only). The fee shall be paid on voting day. The Voting Card shall be a receipt of the Annual Subscription for the year 2017.11. Invalid Votes shall be those votes where the mark has gone beyond the allocated box, where the voter has ticked more than one candidate, where the ballot paper is empty and where the voter has used another mark to choose a candidate other than using a tick. 12.Member who served on the previous Alumni Executive are not eligible to stand. 13.The Chairman of Nkumba University Alumni Electoral Commission, the Academic Registrar shall guide in all the other matters related to the Elections.
