LAW AND GOSPEL

Just like any country, a law is needed to avoid anarchy. The Phil.
Constitution is the supreme law of our country. This is where all our law is
based. It is the book that holds our country together. During the early years
of the Israelites, Theocracy was being practiced. God talked directly to
them, He was the King and the Ruler of His people. Through His prophets,
His law was being proclaimed to the Israelites. Even in the book of
Genesis, the law of God was given to Adam. Is just that, man fall short in
obeying it.That is the law my friends, it guides but it obligates. It gives us
self righteousness but it makes us proud. It was misunderstood that good
works can propel human to salvation. A reason why, the teacher of the law
became a strict vanguard of it. But humans are humans, humans are
imperfect. No single soul
can do good works without committing a mistake. If angels rebel how much
more to humans. The Ten Commandments alone, no human can obey all
the commandments. We are weak; its in our flesh to commit a sin.
God is so merciful, He ignored our weakness. He made a way in order that
we, His creation may once again be united with Him. He sent His only
begotten Son Jesus Christ to save us from our sins. Christ sacrificed and
died for us all. He made us pure again by taking away our sins. And
through His grace we are saved but not through following the law, not
through good works. All we have to do is to be humble, let us all accept that
we are nothing but sinful beings. Accept that we cannot save ourselves,
that we are helpless. Let us face Christ and accept Him as our Savior.
Open our hearts and accept His grace that Hes giving to us. Let the Holy
Spirit work in us and by doing this, we are receiving Gods power. For if we
receive the Holy Spirit, we can now obey the law of God. This became
possible because its not the human ability that works but its the work of
the Holy Spirit. And in this way you can feel that following the law is not an
obligation, it will never be a burden. That my friends is the Gospel.
