Dear Mr. Piatak,

My topic is architecture, in specific, architectural design. I have chosen this topic because it is
my number one desired career path and will most likely be my college major. While creating this
project, I hope to learn about the design process, everyday life, demographics, and education of
an architect. Some of my more relevant sources that Ive found so far include New Orleans
Magazine, Scientific Herald Of The Voronezh State University Of Architecture, and Columbia
Electronic Encyclopedia.

Architectural design is The art and science of designing buildings and (some) nonbuilding
structures. In my paper I will discuss the process of designing different structures and other
things, different methods and style of architecture, the history of architecture, and demographics
related to the field, including schooling, job opportunities, and how these things are projected to
change over time.

At the moment I have no set mentor, but most likely it will be cousins spouse who has been a
very successful architect in New York for years. In my mentoring hours I want to learn about the
process of designing a structure from start to finish, the day to day life of an architect, and
how/where to search for a job in the field. A good product for my topic would be a scale model
of my own made up design for a building or other structure.

I have read Pine Lakes ethics guide and understand that plagiarism, either intentional or
unintentional, will result in a zero on my paper.

Sincerely, Cameron Orf
