In 2015 Hong Kong has managed

to set the highest per capita

waste disposal record in 10
years and the lowest recycling
rate in five years.
Despite increased media
coverage on environmental
related issues, and the imminent
issue of our landfill reaching its
capacity; it didnt stop us from
wasting more and more.
As a city that fully embraces the
idea of convenience, Hong Kong
has 42,820 rubbish bins - six
times more than Singapore, 10
times more than Seoul and 14
times more than Taipei.
Most Hong Kong people has a
understanding about recycling,
yet there is a lack of incentive
to recycle. Are we letting
convenience dominate how we
make our choices?

Are the rubbish bins a black hole

that sucks away the guilt for how
much waste we create?
