Check flame color (bright orange) if running.
Check oil temp & pressure
Check any leakage

First floor

Check sewage treatment plant ( level, blower, auto start/stop)

Check cylinder oil daily tank level
Check provision and air condition compressor (oil & gas level)
Stern tube gravity tank level

Main Engine top floor

Check JCW temp, Exhaust gas temp, any leakage on cylinder head
Check air line temp

Control room

Lamp test
Check alarm history
Check main engine parameters
Check F.O service and settling tanks level
Check main switch board-
Running A/E load (KW), amp, frequency
ST/BY - A/E
M/E rpm
Second floor

Main engine scavenge air temp, cylinder oil lubricator

Check A/E (temp and press of JCW, L.O, F.O, Exhaust gas, L.O sump level,
governor oil level)
Check F.O purifiers (temp, back pressure, gear oil level, bowl leakage)
Check F.O heater , booster pump, supply pump , auto filter
Check Air compressor (oil level, unloader leakage, stage pressure gauage)
Check air bottles pressure , drain water and oil, air dryer filter
Check cascade tank (hot well tank) level, any oil leakage from heating coil
Check F.W generator (vacuum, shell temp F.W pump press)

Bottom floor

Check Main engine crank case door temp by hand

Check any leakage
Check Main engine L.O sump tank level
Check intermediate shaft bearing, thrust bearing temp
Check bilges wells, tank top for any leakages
Check pumps (main SW ,fire & GS, Ballast, Bilges, M/E L.O pump)
Check pumps motor temp
Check M/E L.O & A/E L.O purifier
Drain F.O service and settling tanks and check temp
Check tanks sounding (Bilges, Sludge, Scavenge drain, cofferdam)
Check hydrofore tanks press and level (1/3 should be air)

Remark

Before (takeover or hand over) , duty oilers must (tell or ask) any standing order
of C/E or Duty engineer, abnormal of machinery and which are need to pay
attention.
