6" Asian Regional Conference on Geosynthetics 8-11 November 2016, New Delhi GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION ‘The main aim of poster sessions will be to facilitate a free-flow of discussions by involving experts and authors in mutual exchange of beneficial ideas relevant to the topics of the conference, Contributors to poster sessions will display their presentations during the time exclusively allotted for the poster session of the related conference topic. The following rules are to be followed for the conduct of the poster sessions: a) (2) 8) (4) ©) (6) a” 8) @) (10) (14) (12) (13) (14) (15) The poster should be only in English on one or two sheets of Ay size (1189 mm x 597 mm). One sheet of Ap size can accommodate 10 of A, size documents (210 mm x 297 mm). Authors should clearly indicate the title of their presentation on the top of the poster sheet and the ‘name of relevant topic which their presentation proposes to cover as shown in a specimen sketch below this note. The title of the poster should be in bold capital letters in the centre of the poster sheet. The Contributor's name should appear immediately below the title. If the poster is made up of more than one sheet, the tile of poster and page number should appear at the top of each sheet, All text, figures and tables should be of a size that are easily readable from a distance of at least two meters. Authors are advised to use black ink and dark colours for better contrast and readabilly, Each poster may contain the presented material under sequential subheadings lke introduction, objectives, materials and methods, results and discussions, and conclusions. Contributors to the poster sessions are requested to highlight the important points and salient features of their work — in bold letters -- on the poster sheets to be displayed on fixed panels, Although there is no restriction on the number of points to be highlighted, normally 10 to 15 salient points are good enough to bring out the substance. Photographs, sketches/drawings, tables may be included very liberally in the posters, for improving the visual communication of the result. Poster sheets should be prepared well in advance by the presenters and brought to the conference venue along with them. Contributors to the poster sessions are requested to confirm their participation in the poster session, by 23 October 2016 positively, and to indicate whether their presentation will be on a single sheet cr on two sheets of the specified size Ay to the Organizing Committee of the Conference. Posters for the papers accepted by the special committee for the poster session should be brought to the registration desk in their final format at the beginning of the Conference. Poster contributors will then be advised about the venue reserved for the poster sessions. Any new posters not reported in advance before 23 October 2016 may not be accepted for presentation during the poster session. Panels of appropriate size to mount the posters of the specified size Ay will be made available at the Conference venue by the Organizing Committee of the Conference, Presence of the contributor or his authorized representative is essential at the poster session so as to respond to the queries by the viewers. No audio visual equipment will be made available at the poster session. The contributors will be required to mount their posters on the assigned panels at least one hour in advance of the time for the commencement of the poster session. Assistance will be provided by the organizing committee in mounting the posters including provision of sticking tapes and pins, The poster sheets should be removed from the panels after the close of the poster session period, The contributors may take away their original poster sheets with them.
