BBFC Rating
The BBFC is a well-respected board that determines the
ratings of many films that are going to be shown in British
cinemas. This is to ensure that children are not exposed to
harmful and damaging content via films or videos. It also
gives customers the knowledge of what a film may include
before deciding to go and view it. The BBFC ratings are very
important to the film industry, as a rating may affect the
films income as it could cut out a particular target
audience, causing the company to loose box office revenue
from that particular audience. Therefore it is vital to
receive a rating that is generally acceptable for many
target audiences to watch.
The rating our film has received is a 15. This means that
our film is suitable 15 year olds. Anyone younger than 15
cannot see a 15 film in cinema or buy a 15 rated video work.
