A beach scare in Asbury Park

A woman was pulled from the water on Wednesday afternoon on the beaches of Asbury

Park. Erin B. Higgins of New York had been swimming in deep waters when she was

taken over by harsh waves. When she was brought back to land, she wasnt breathing and

she was brought to a local hospital. She died that afternoon. She was 42 years old.

A school out in Trenton had a week of distress when over the span of three days, two BB

guns and a bag of Marijuana had been brought to the school. These items are prohibited
on school grounds and Police had to be brought in to handle and assess the situation. On

both occasions of the BB guns, the teacher had spotted the children with the potential

weapons. In the case of the Marijuana, the student was caught showing the bag off to

friends. All of these incidents are currently being investigated.

The Trump Administration has been fighting for a travel ban since Donald Trump has

taken office, we have a new update on the progress of the travel ban.

In response to the first travel ban placed by the administration that had shocked and

angered many, a new restriction is being placed with more lenience towards individuals

but full bans on select countries. This ban will be in place for six Muslim occupied

countries. Citizens of countries such as Iran or Syria have already been banned from

taking flights entering the United States.

In St. Louis, Protesters took to the street to fight the acquittal of a police officer who shot

and killed an African-American man during a protest gone wrong. Protests had already

been happening over the death of Anthony Lamar Smith, who was twenty-four years old.

The protests had begun peacefully and non-violently, but the pace and tone soon changed

to a violent and pained protest. Police confiscated riot gear and weapons found among the

crowd and took a suspect into custody.

Pressure has been being pushed onto the Major League Baseball association after a girl

was struck with a foul ball at a Yankees game this past Wednesday. This accident shocked

fans and players at this game and now fans are demanding that the association increase

the spread of nets to ensure that fans do not get hit. Although this change would be an

expensive issue, not fixing this issue could leave the potential for further accidents.

Shock Rock icon Marilyn Manson had done an interview recently discussing his new

music and also looking back on his career. He discussed in detail how the Columbine

Massacre tragedy had deeply affected his career. After the Columbine Massacre

happened, it had come out that Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold had been fans of Mansons

music. Although he continues to produce music and gain fans, he claims that the events

of the shooting had ruined his career. His new album, Heaven Upside Down, will be

released October 6th.
