The pie chart gives the information about the different sources of pollutants in a

specific place of ocean in 1997 and 2007. It has seven main sources, namely,
pollutants from air, domestic sewage, offshore oil, marine, industrial waste, farm
waste and litter.

In 1997, the source of pollutants from air represented the largest proportion (about
30%) in a particular area of ocean. the second percentage of pollutants was caused by
marine which was 22%. In addition, the domestic sewage and industrial waste had
similar proportion, which was 18% and 17% respectively. However, offshore oil, litter
and farm waste only accounted a little percentage of the resources (5%, 4%, and4%).

For comparison in 2007 there were several changes, domestic sewages and pollutants
from air became the dominant sources which were both 29%. There were decline in
the proportion of the sources of Marine, industrial waste and farm waste which were
less to 17%, 9% and 2%respectively. It were worthy mentioned that offshore oil had a
significant increase which grew from 5% to 14%, besides, there was no source of
pollutants by litter.

To conclusion, in past decade, domestic sewages and pollutants from air became the
most serious polluting sources, offshore oil increased dramatically and the rest of
sources kept a similar stable trend.
