LAS MENINAS

To the left of the picture we have Maria Agustina who is offering a silver tray to the
infant Margarita of Austria that is in the center. A little more to the right we see Isabel
de Velasco. A little further back, to the left, is Velazquez. Now you go to the right area
and in the background you see Marcela Ulloa and knight servant of the court. In the
background a wooden door opens and Jos Nieto appears. Hanging from the wall you

JARDN DE LAS DELICIAS


In the left panel, an image of paradise where the last day of creation is represented,

painter shows us an apocalyptic and cruel scene in which the human being is
condemned by his sin

LAS TRES GRACIAS


The painter represented in this table to the three daughters of Zeus and Eurynome and
presents them: naked and intertwined, one back and two profile. It places thanks in a
very first plane that highlights the morbidity of their bodies naked and bright. The
space that surrounds them represents a landscape with a low horizon line, which
further enhances its contours. The figures at the same time are framed by a classic
fountain on your left, of a garden, and a tree on the opposite side.

LAS HILANDERAS
On the canvas, we observe that at first glance seems to be a scene of workshop. In the
foreground we have a series of spinning in the distaff and women preparing yarn. The
background shows three women, dressed as nobles, contemplating a tapestry in which
depicted a mythological motif. Aracne was a famous young for being a good Weaver,
who challenged the goddess Athena to a duel of tissue. Arachne would be the young
man who stands with their backs to the Viewer, weaving her tapestry that is
represented at the bottom of the stay, while the goddess would appear camouflaged
