Biography

William Jefferson Clinton was the 42nd president in the presidency. Clinton was in the Democratic Party.
Also people nicknamed him Bill. In 1994, The North American Free Trade Agreement also known as
NAFTA is an agreement signed by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, creating a trilateral trade in
North America. This agreement was signed by President Bill Clinton and the main objectives was to
remove the barriers of trade, enhancement of fair competition, and provision of security. On September
21, 1996, The Defense of Marriage Act was a United States federal law that prior to being ruled
unconstitutional, defined marriage for federal purposes as union of one man and one woman. This
signed by President Bill Clinton and later was repealed ending the DOMA. Between 1995 and 1996,
American political sex scandal that involved President Bill Clinton and 22 year old Monica Lewinsky.
Clinton claimed in his speech that he did not have any sexual relations with Lewinsky. This led charges
and later led to the impeachment of President Clinton. This was the Monica Lewinsky Scandal. In 1998,
there was an armed conflict in Kosovo. It was fought by forces of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and
Kosovo Liberation army with support from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The war ended with
Kumanovo Treaty, agreeing to withdraw from Kosovo. This was the Kosovo War.
