2. Foundation
Generally built using steel and concrete

o Rebar (and PEX tubing for radiant floor heating)
o Pour Concrete for Slab

3. Frames and roof trusses


The floor systems, walls and roof systems (known as the shell or skeleton of the house)
Apply plywood sheathing to the exterior wall
Install windows, roof , exterior doors

4. Rough plumbing, electrical and HVAC


Running pipes and wires through the interior walls, ceilings and floors
Sewer lines and vents
Bathtubs and one-piece shower/tub
HVAC vent pipes are installed through the roof and insulation

5. Insulation
Spray Foam, Blown-in Insulation, or Batt Insulation

6. Drywall
Brick, stucco, stone and siding
Flooring
Tiling
Painting
Shelving
7. Practical completion
Inspection
Touch ups and minor items requiring installation
8. Handover
Certificate of Occupancy
Modifications
Moving In
