Compatibility Tekla Structures 18.0 is designed to work on Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, and Windows XP
SP3.
If you have a 64-bit Windows operating system, we recommend that you install the 64-bit Tekla
Structures to fully utilize all the memory available in the hardware and the operating system.
The 32-bit Tekla Structures works also on 64-bit Windows operating systems, but the program is
run in 32-bit mode, which means that the maximum virtual memory address space for Tekla
Structures is 4 GB.
Tekla Structures 18.0 does not work on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, or 2000.

Working with You can open models created in older versions of Tekla Structures using Tekla Structures 18.0.
existing models When you create or save a model in Tekla Structures 18.0, you cannot open it in older versions of
Tekla Structures.

Uninstalling To uninstall Tekla Structures 18.0:

In Windows 7 and Windows Vista: Use the Programs and Features option in the Windows
Control Panel.
In Windows XP: Use the Add/Remove Programs option in the Windows Control Panel.

When you have installed the latest version of Tekla Structures 18.0,
do not use the Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features
option to remove possible earlier installations of this version, if the
installations are located in the same folder. If you do this, you will
lose important files and Tekla Structures 18.0 will not function
correctly.
