6. Portable plant press
This ie an equipment i saigPare prossed fat, without folds ard

The standerd size of plant press ie 12 « 18 inches. A good portable press consists of two
metallic frames holding thick mesh of galvanized tron and arrangement to tie the two Fremes
in agjustable belts.
+ Between the metalic framas are kept drying sheet of blotting paper (size 12 * 18 inches) and
between the blotters are Kept folded newsprint sheet (wrappers) in each of which the collector
places one kind of plant

Collection of Plant Specimens : .
The following things should be kept in mind while collecting plant specimens for making herbarium.
(1) The piant specimen should be elther in the flowering or the fruiting condition, preferably botk,
