Nicholas Dimopoulos

I am currently a senior, economics major at Nichols College. Entering my first semester, I

did not have a definite career choice. All I knew was that I wanted to concentrate in economics.
The fascination with economics turned into an aspiration to learn the law. Twenty-Five United
States presidents earned a law degree and many Fortune 500 CEOs have concentrations in
economics. Those two facts were all the motivation I needed to choose a path.

Focused and motivated are the two characteristics that best describe myself . I value
being the person that other people can count on to get things done. I am a very task-oriented
person but can be team-oriented when it promotes reaching the end goal. I want to do things
that not everyone can do and I enjoy the challenge of trying to stay ahead of the curve .

My career goal is to work for a private law firm in Boston, MA and eventually own my
own firm after mastering the skills required of an exceptional lawyer.

The following are short term goals that I identified that will help me achieve my major career
goal:

Complete my Research Internship and use the final paper to submit an official proposal
to the Massachusetts General Court.
Earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Economics and gain acceptance to
a law school.
Participate in more than the required events for the Emerging Leaders Program to gain
as much knowledge and do as much networking as I can while I have the opportunity in
school.

I hope that while viewing the work contained in my portfolio it will be clear that I possess the
potential to achieve both my short and long-term goals.
